If I knew...
No sales for now. Outside seating and pickup only. Still great food.
No. It's a restaurant

Earl's is actually older than what everybody thinks cuz it was actually across the street from its current location
This is a great place to get some authentic hand made jewelry. Local artists are crawling this location with jewelry boxes full of amazing art work. You will be able to bargain much easier in this environment. If you go to Santa Fe, expect to pay twice or three times as much for pieces like this. The food is pretty good, the salad bar is decent and has a pretty tasty sea food salad. I got the meatloaf, and it was satisfactory. I recommend the place. The wait staff is pretty in your face, that is the only draw back.
Delicious food, and fast service! Great place to stop for a meal on a road trip! Beautifully decorated and beautiful art.
I got a green chile, bacon and egg burrito. It was really good and came with hash browns. I was hoping there would be more Mexican options but I can always go somewhere else for that.
Didn't like getting my temp checked, but everything else was good. Well the fries are different.
Super disappointed in Earl's.. Was looking forward to trying there Navajo taco that I haven't had since I was a teenager on a mission trip to 4 corners area 20 years ago. Google says they are open till 8. They are closing at 6 pm which is right in the middle of dinner time. Doesn't make sense.. Travelers need to be aware when attempting to plan your dinner since this location doesn't have accurate posted hours.
I love me some Navajo tacos. Great place to stop. Definitely worth it, they are huge. Plus they have a ton of turquoise venders if you need a pretty.
I've been coming here with my family since I was a baby!! It's a really, delicious family restaurant. The wait is always worth it. Best diner food on Route 66.
Great food. Pleasant and attentive staff
Food is always delicious! I love seeing all the native at work. Beautiful.
This is a must stop. Every time I come to Gallup this place never disappoints. You come hungry leave happy. Everything on the menu is great!! Lovely atmosphere. Very enjoyable staff.
The restaurant was clean and had a great, fun, family atmosphere. The service was great. They brought us all chicken noodle soup that was pretty good, even though only one in our party of 4 got it with his meal. They also gave our table chips and salsa, and that was a nice appetizer before our food came. I got a turkey avocado blt with chips. It was decent. We also ordered a chop steak and pizza, but those and the sides all tasted store-bought (frozen pizza instant potatoes, gravy from a powder, beans from a can...). Be aware that they do allow vendors to circle the restaurant and hawk their wares. You will be interrupted every few minutes by someone trying to sell you something. Because of the vendors alone, I would not come back here to eat again.
Excellent food and service. Highly recommend.
Really good food. Friendly and helpful wait staff. Everyone enjoyed there meal at out table. The country gravy does seem to be homemade. Very well done!
The service is really good. The food is served in generous portions. Had the Navajo Taco and split it with my husband. It can easily feed more than 2 people. This picture is just half!
The fry bread itself was good, the beans and meat were very traditional - so fairly bland. It is enough for two hungry people to share for sure! The peddlers are kind and not pushy in any way, I didn't mind them in the least.
Some of the best Food in Gallup. Not only is the food good but they have very hard working staff. They are always busy, especially during the first of the month, tribal paydays and weekends. Inspite of how busy they are, you are always seated quickly, the servers are always fast and friendly. They have a wide variety of food to chose from. From Local dishes, New Mexican Food to American dishes. They have something for everyone. If you like hand crafted authentic Native American arts & crafts and jewelry. There is no need to go any further that Earls. Sellers come through the restaurant all the time with various types of jewelry, & arts & craft. If you don't want to be disturbed while eating by the sellers, you simply ask for a "No Sellers" sign and they will not disturb you. This place is on of the local favorites. If traveling through, this restaurant is a "must stop" for all.
Always loved this place. We make it a point to stop in any time we are in vicinity. Dang pandemic had seating outside only, so, I just walked up and got a to go order. They called my cell when ready and we ate it all in the rental. (Missed the Native American vendors though. Yeah, they just walk up to your table with their wares if you have the permission card displayed).
People that came after us received their food asap while we still waited 30 minutes. No clue why. But we got chips/salsa and our drinks for free because of the long wait. Breakfast was good.
Outside dinning and lunch was very refreshing.
Good food and fast service
Good place to eat every first of the month, when you're retired and see old co-workers and swap jokes over a whole pot of coffee ☕
I ordered a Mexican supreme combination plate and when I received my ordered the plate was either half full or half empty my granddaughter ask the waiter if that was the right order and he said yes usually on a supreme order you expect a full plate other than my order the place was very clean and the waiter where very kind and did there job very well.
If the place has been open on US 66 since 1947, you know that it has stood the test of time.I was not disappointed. Huge portions, good hearty food. My enchiladas hit the spot - menu is mostly Southwestern Tex-Mex and Native American. Alas, I wasn't too interested in buying any of the wares that are offered by the Native Americans - I was really hungry. But the atmosphere was great; everyone working there seemed to enjoy it.
I'm from Muskogee Ok and driving through to visit family in Utah and we ate breakfast at 7am. Very good food. Thank you. I also bought some arts and crafts from the locals. That's always the best part.
Excellent food - quality and serving size. Atmosphere is relaxing, help is fun and efficient. Pancakes and omelettes are incredible and special. Vendors are sharing their wares in a very respectful manner. This is a must go there.
Everything was good. But..... Didn't like being interrupted by ppl selling craft. That was rude. Owner was exceptionally nice. He was greeting customers. Good job and God bless you.
Love stopping at Earl for breakfast whenever we are on a road trip. Fast service, good food and hot coffee! Often times there are sellers outside with jewelry and other miscellaneous items and also sellers who go table to table to try to sell you items too. (But if you go early enough, they aren’t there and you can eat a good breakfast and not spend money on anything else lol)
Food was amazing and great prices we had a variety of dishes from American to Mexican and it all was delicious. The owner and staff were all hard working and fast, very much appreciated! I love the people that came by to sell jewelry and other items, I purchased a few peices and that was a plus I loved them.
I have my favorites at this restaurant. Had my biscuits smothered in green chile for breakfast. Coffee was cold n had them nuke it. I like hot coffee. Earls isn't what it use to be but I'll be going back. My waiter, Ezkle was awesome. Very polite n checked on me whenever he checked on his other tables.
If you’re not from the area then this place is great to stop by on your way through! You get an experience with the local Navajo jewelers. They walk through the restaurant and show their products to your table. If you go in with the mindset of purchasing some jewelry then it’s not bad! We love stopping here and picking up some Navajo necklaces and earrings for our vacations. Great place to pick up some gifts!
It was alright the food was decent, service was good. Felt like a different version of Denny's. Nothing too exciting about this restaurant.
I am glad this place is open early. Our waitress kept the coffee filled and was very efficient. Food was hot and yummy.
Good for lunch and dinner. Didn't like the breakfast. If you want southwest food, they got it. Mexican Food, Navajo food, American food in the mix. Also sellers who sell authentic native handmade jewelry with best deals come to your table or you can look at their booths outside. If you don't want to be disturbed while eating you got to tell front desk on arrival so they can give you a label thing for your table so the sellers can see an move on.Pretty good OK place for one person or a group.
Earls is a family owned restaurant, the owner knows just about everyone that has their meals there. Me and my family have been going there 46 years. My family are all grown up now. I still go there when I go to Gallup. I love their food and it's a habit, like a second home.
I DEFINITELY would recommend stopping and eating here. It's the best restaurant, I've had in my life... top notch service and the waiter we had was excellent, very friendly and professional.... wish I could give more then 5 stars, cuz Earl's family restaurant deserves 100 stars
Large portion of burger with chili and fries. Very good along with unlimited ice tea.
This place is always a go for me. Went here as a child and still continue to go. Food was good. Service was B+ only because the waitress got our drinks wrong on the refills and we asked for the chili on the side and it wasn't. But I didn't say much because I was hungry and the plate was good regardless! Lol.
I loved it friendly staff it was unique to spend time outside as we ate.........just the flies buzzing around other than that it was great
It was good they had ran out of the special when we got there. The servers were not very happy. But the food was good. Got charged for a drink I didn't order. Other than that it was good.
Very good food and atmosphere. The service was nice, helpful and recommended the best choice. Prices are standard and portions are biiiiiig!! 😆🤤 I would highly recommend stopping by. While waiting for food, you can also purchase some jewellery from native American artists who sell them there.
Enjoy the food and know the owner the services are great
Excellent food and service. Outstanding value for the money. Very interesting vendors demonstrating their wares at the tables. the pancakes are very good
Think twice before you commit to eating here. It’s nice that you can dine outside w/ family and be out n about. BUT, I warn you.. around closing time I ordered the Supreme Combo but felt like I ordered an over microwaved leftover meal. This place used to take pride and we used to support this establishment each time out of state family/friends visited but not so much now. Very disappointing coming back after a couple years to eat this garbage. I’m not one to waste food, so looks like pubby is gonna eat good tonight LOL
Not as good as I remembered. I only ate half of one rib didnt taste good. So just left went to cracker barrel. But jewelry were pretty
The best breakfast we have had since we have been in New Mexico. 5 stars! I actually ate two breakfast plates it was so good. Tried the breakfast enchiladas and the huevos rancheros. Both were great!
Earl's is always good. I love the salsa and chips and bean dip. The best part is the atmosphere. The Native American craftsmen come around the restaurant showing their jewelry and wares.
Greta breakfast, enjoy the folks selling their native Jewelry
Everytime I am driving across country we make sure to have breakfast at Earls in Gallup. They make the best sausage links and Hash browns. You can also shop from Native American Artisans selling their art and jewelry while you eat. Worth the visit if you are in the area.
2nd visit and even better than the first a few years ago. Richie was an amazing server and he took the time to talk us through the local cuisine. We ordered on his recommendation and it was superbly fresh and exciting. It was food we would never have ordered because we didn't know about it. Ask for Richie he's the best!!According to my friends that I travelled with the vendor's that sell the jewelry have very very good prices. They have seen their wares in other stores for three times the price. So please consider them if you are passing!
Had family breakfast of 20 people. Waiter was awesome and very accommodating. Food was great as always.
